Orthopedics

Orthopedics helps you recover after a serious injury, surgery or accident. Think of rehabilitation with a new knee or hip, but also with sports injuries.

What is orthopedic physiotherapy?

Orthopedic physiotherapy is mainly focused on complaints of the musculoskeletal system, in particular the muscles and joints. These complaints are often caused by an operation, accident or injury and people are guided during the rehabilitation of this. In orthopedic physiotherapy we focus on restoring mobility, coordination, muscle strength, stability and endurance.

Who is Orthopedic Physiotherapy for?

When working independently of health insurers, a different treatment dynamic arises. Traditionally, health insurers calculate in terms of the number of treatments. This creates an expectation pattern for the client and forces the physiotherapist into a treatment pattern.
If these conditions are removed, a dynamic is created in which the aim is to become free of complaints as quickly and sustainably as possible. A greater demand is placed on the client and therapist for successful treatment. In 2023, it is not unusual for someone to be completely free of complaints within 3 to 5 treatments.
